Apple and Celery Slaw

Serves about 4 to 5
Ingredients
Celery sticks 5 sliced and shaved thinly
Granny smith apple or any tart apple available 1 medium – thin straws
Pecans or walnuts chopped- 4 tbsp
Cranberries dried – 4 tbsp
Mayo – 2 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Maple syrup – 1 tbsp
Salt
Method
In a skillet, add the sugar and chopped pecans/walnuts and toast them till the sugar starts to caramelize. Set aside
In a bowl, toss celery and apple along with other ingredients and mix them well
Adjust seasoning if needed. The slaw tastes better if you let it sit for about 30 minutes
You could serve this with a side of protein like pan-fried pork chops or use it as a salad
